During a recent NDA rally in Rohtas, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar made an unexpected blunder that quickly went viral. While addressing the people, CM accidentally referred to Prime Minister Narendra Modi as former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
The slip occurred mid-speech when Nitish was talking about the developmental work done under the Modi govt. “Under the leadership of Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee…” he said, before pausing and immediately correcting himself: “I mean, Prime Minister Narendra Modi.”
Realizing the mistake, he quickly tried to smooth over the moment by asking the audience to stand and pay respect to PM Modi, a gratitude that drew mixed reactions both from the crowd and social media users who later circulated the clip widely.
Despite the gaffe, Nitish went on to praise the Modi government’s efforts in improving roads, healthcare, and infrastructure in Bihar clearly trying to cover up his mistake.
